Answering high volume incoming calls professionally; booking, rescheduling or canceling patient appointments within the electronic health record (EHR/EMR) system. Transferring clinical or medical questions to the appropriate nursing or medical staff. Logging detailed notes for every patient interaction in the EHR system.
Verifiying patient demographic information and insurance coverage. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY Requirements and
1-2 years of customer service, office or call center experience (healthcare background preferred) Proficiency with computers and medical software. Strong verbal , active listening and de-escalation skills with compassion, empathy and respect, while adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality rules. Medical terminology knowledge helpful.
