Neonatal APRN or PA-C to provide expert, family-centered care in a Level II Special Care Nursery and birthing center! Collaborates with Pediatrician to manage both well newborns and infants with moderate medical needs. Attends deliveries & is skilled in newborn resuscitation & stabilization for potential transfer to a tertiary care center.
Provides backup support to the Emergency Departments as needed for newborn emergencies. Additionally, the APP plays a key role in parent education, breastfeeding support, and discharge planning, while promoting patient safety and contributing to quality improvement initiatives in the nursery.
Must have at least two years of experience in a Level III/IV NICU. Currently licensed in the state of CT and holds CT CSP certificate and DEA license. Current NRP certification and/or instructor.
