JOB
The nurse manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department ensuring efficient operations, high-quality patient care, and adherence to organization standards. In collaboration with the System Director of Critical Care, develops, and implements nursing policy and practice utilizing evidence-based practice to achieve quality outcomes. Has 24-hour accountability for management of the department in conjunction with the Director.
Provides visible clinical leadership and serves as a resource to nursing staff, promotes professional practice, clinical excellence, and a culture of safety. EDUCATION AND RELATED
- Required:
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school.
- Current Massachusetts RN licensure.
- BSN required
- Minimum three years in-patient nursing experience in med/surg, telemetry or emergency
- Demonstrated skills required in patient care, leadership,
- and interpersonal relationships. Preferred:
- Minimum three years management experience preferred
- MSN preferred.
