PACU Nurses need a minimum of 1 year critical care (ICU/ED) experience.
OR Perioperative Fellows can be new graduate nurses that may apply to the program.
OR Nurses need 1-2 years of related OR experience.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Specialty Certification.

OverviewThe Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients in select phases of Perioperative care (as competency demonstrates). This care utilizes the nursing process and the standards of care of a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and functions as charge nurse when assigned.

The Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients in select phases of Perioperative care (as competency demonstrates). This care utilizes the nursing process and the standards of care of a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and functions as charge nurse when assigned.

The RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities/ tasks may be delegated to Surgical Technologists, Patient Care Associated, Guest Associates and Anesthesia Technologists. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the RN manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures QualificationsAge of Patients Served: All Age Groups.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Specialty Certification. : Required Licensure/Certifications: Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida BLS from the American Heart Association is required ACLS from the American Heart Association is required PALS is required within 6 months from the date of hire/transfer. Fellowship RN's must obtain their ACLS and PALS within six (6) months of hire or transfer. Effective March 19, 2024 ACLS and PALS are not required for OR Admin (633200) and North Surgery Center (633480).

Preferred Licensure/Certifications: Professional Specialty Certification Preferred. Required
