Registered Nurse – Position SummaryThe Registered Professional Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care by assessing patients, identifying actual and potential health concerns, implementing appropriate nursing interventions, and evaluating outcomes to ensure optimal patient care. ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesAssess patients for actual and potential alterations in health. Develop and implement appropriate nursing interventions based on patient needs.

Evaluate patient responses and modify interventions as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Involve patients, families, and significant others in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care whenever possible. Supervise and direct care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAPs).

Assign and delegate care to qualified members of the healthcare team. Coordinate care with other professional disciplines to support continuity and quality of care. Participate in unit-based activities that promote a positive and professional work environment.

Advocate for patients and demonstrate autonomous and accountable nursing practice. Support the organization’s mission of excellent patient care through collaboration, innovation, trust, and professional nursing excellence. Nurses hired without a BSN must obtain a BSN within three (3) years of hire. ExperienceNo specific minimum years of nursing experience stated. LicensureCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required.
