✓Patient Access Representative
✓MaineGeneral Health is currently seeking a Patient Access Services Representative to perform financial clearance, registration, and clerical duties associated with direct and scheduled patient admissions.
✓As a Patient Access Rep, you will get to interact with patients frequently
✓greeting them and their families, checking them in for services, and ensuring information is readily available for clinical staff.
✓Meets with patient or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation. Explains the process and addresses concerns and questions
✓Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization, and ensures verification of medical necessity as necessary. Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays deductibles, and coinsurance, or refers to financial counselors for follow up
✓Relevant customer service experience
✓Excellent and demonstrated communication skills
✓Ability to keyboard accurately and quickly
1 year of patient registration, scheduling, or other clerical/customer service experience in a medical office setting preferred
