The Neuropsychology team includes neuropsychologists, psychometrists, research assistants, post-doctoral fellows, and psychology graduate students.

Our team is dedicated to precision and accuracy in administration of neuropsychological measures, compassionate care for our patients and research participants, and collaborative innovation of best practices. The Psychometrist Coordinator helps run an extensive training program and ensures data integrity by on-going oversight throughout the academic year. Additionally, this position provides guidance and oversight to new psychometrists as they navigate complex training requirements.

This position coordinates an extensive training program and ensures data integrity by on-going oversight throughout the academic year. Additionally, this position provides guidance and oversight to new psychometrists as they navigate complex training requirements. CORE FUNCTIONS1.

Provides administrative oversight of psychometry department training needs to include facilitating the onboarding process of doctoral students and new psychometry staff, maintaining training records and assisting department neuropsychologist with maintenance of training schedule and meeting required benchmarks.2. Maintains and updates department standard operating procedures to enhance operational efficiency of a complex department that supports multiple clinical and research activities.3.

Coordinates departmental schedules/room utilization to ensure optimal operational efficiency.4. Administers global clinical assessments using semi-structured and unstructured interviews. This position attends training for specific clinical trial and/or research protocols and administers the interviews in according with protocols to ensure validity.5.

Scores evaluation and provides required observational summary as relevant. For certain evaluations, enters test data into computer database ensuring accuracy and entry in a timely manner.6. Reviews allocation of patient visits and adjust as necessary to ensure all staff are maintaining relatively equal patient loads.

This position will determine how best to utilize space and adjust rooms as appropriate to the type of clinical or research visit. This position will provide feedback and administrative supervision to student and psychometrists regarding scoring, norming, administration and other departmental procedures.7. This position has freedom to determine how best to accomplish administrative functions within established procedures.

Confers with supervisor for operational changes and/or unusual situations. This position will assist with flow of departmental workload. This position will interact with all departments within BSHRI as neuropsychology supports brain and body donation program, clinical trials and the outpatient clinic.

Customers include patients/participants coming in for various types of visits and with varying levels of cognitive impairment. Additional customers include the academic institutions with whom we partner in our training program, as well as various sponsors for our clinical trials. This position is responsible to assess clinical severity of research participants.

Confers with supervisor, site neuropsychologist, and/or study investigator for unusual or complex cases. This person will need to function independently and be able to provide a clinical assessment / judgment of severity without guidance from other team members and without access to medical records. This position serves the clinical trials department and pharma sponsors and their CROs.

Master’s Degree in psychology, behavioral health or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification for Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR) scale required upon hire or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment. Requires 2 years of clinical and cognitive assessment experience or related education experience.

Requires excellent clinical judgment and communication skills (both verbal and written). Requires ability to establish rapport with clinical with varying degrees of impairment.
