DepartmentFPG Centralized Access Center Job SummaryThe Quality Assurance & Template Optimization Specialist is responsible for improving patient access operations through quality monitoring, workflow optimization, provider template management, and Epic scheduling best practices. This role supports operational excellence by ensuring scheduling accuracy, adherence to workflows, regulatory compliance, and optimal provider utilization across FPG medical offices.
The specialist collaborates with leadership, clinic operations, providers, Epic analysts, and FPG centralized scheduling teams to improve patient experience, access efficiency, and scheduling quality outcomes. *The QA & Template Optimization Specialist will provide centralized oversight of quality assurance, provider schedule template optimization, and scheduling workflow performance across FPG. This role will ensure provider templates are appropriately configured and maintained to support operational workflows, maximize appointment availability, and improve timely access to care.
Required Qualifications- Require three (3) years of quality assurance or auditing experience in a centralized authorization, registration, or call center environment with a strong understanding of insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorization processes.
- Prefer previous experience in centralized access or multi-specialty scheduling environments, as well as experience with computers using information systems including scheduling, registration, medical necessity, billing, and other business office applications.- Prefer strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations in a diplomatic manner.- Prefer demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels.- Prefer strong leadership skills and understanding of group processes.- Prefer the ability to analyze problems and consistently follow through to solution.- Prefer the ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.- Prefer previous experience with Epic, including Cadence, and In-Basket workflows.
