Job OverviewFairview is currently seeking a Casual Radiation Therapist to join our team. In this role, therapists provide flexible coverage across multiple sites, supporting staffing needs during absences such as sick leave, vacations, and FMLA. This position requires adaptability and a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality patient care across various locations.

Minnesota Twin Cities Site locations include:M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center-East BankM Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center - Maple GroveM Health Fairview Woodwinds HospitalM Health Fairview St. John's Hospital The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering precise and efficient ionizing radiation therapy treatments as determined by the Radiation Oncologist. This position administers prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts, using radiation therapy equipment according to establish practices and standards.

as a Radiation Therapist:Prepares and constructs equipment such as immobilization devices as needed or prescribed by the physicianPrepares and educates patients and families for simulation and treatmentObserves and reassures patients during treatment and report unusual reactions to physician or turn equipment off if unexpected adverse reactions occurOperates specified equipment within the radiation therapy department.

Records and verifies computer system, and IGRT and Portal vision systemPositions patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription.
