Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks, problems, malnutrition criteria, knowledge deficits, and high-risk health behaviors. Offers nutrition recommendations, orders, education, counseling, and referrals to other services. Provides counseling and education that reflect appropriate health literacy and cultural sensitivity to patients with disease processes requiring nutritional management.
Uses evidence-based theories and concepts, including the transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing, in patient education and counseling. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English [Required]Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]Education:Bachelor's [Required]Field of Study:In nutrition or nutrition related fieldGraduate degree in nutrition or nutrition related field AND One-year clinical experienceWork
