Department: General Surgery - Surgical Oncology RN At Novant Wilmington Surgical Associates, our reputation for surgical excellence has been earned by compassion, by commitment, and by a deeply held conviction that every patient matters. We seek a Nurse/RN to join the expanding Surgical Oncology/Breast Cancer teams. Position will involve assisting surgeon with office-based procedures and biopsies; surgery orders; wound care; answering, triaging, and documenting phone calls from patients or other physician’s offices; administrative and clinical duties as assigned.
RN will also work as part of larger nursing team under the direction of the clinical supervisor to serve all of Wilmington Surgical’ s general surgery patients. We work hard but also strive for a proper work/life balance. Our office is open 8am-4pm M-F allowing you more time with your family.

In-House Procedures & Clinical ServicesFluoroscopy (Floro)Mammography and breast imagingUltrasound proceduresStereotactic breast biopsiesCare coordination and clinical support for a high-volume breast program, including three breast cancer specialistsGeneral surgical procedures, including evaluation and treatment of various lumps and bumpsMinor surgical procedures performed under local anesthesiaDermatologic proceduresSurgical oncology servicesCollaboration with ancillary services to support comprehensive patient care What We're Looking ForEducation: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
One year relevant experience, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT, preferred.
