Registered Nurse, NICUBring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + TogetherWork location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours; 7:00pm – 7:00amNICU Department highlights:· Level II NICU/Level II Maternal Designation· 8 LDRPs, 5 Antepartum Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms· 40 – 45 deliveries per month· Small team focused on BIG teamwork! Here’s What You Need· Diploma in Nursing required or· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program· BSN preferred· RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required· One year of NICU experience strongly preferred· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and· NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and· CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention maintained annually and required within 90 days and· NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days requiredWhat You Will Do· Assesses the patient· Plans the care of the patient· Intervenes as appropriate· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
