The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job: Education and Formal Training : Associates Degree in Nursing or equivalent required Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse or Compact state licensure Unit Description: Radiology Nurses operate an 8-bay prep and recovery unit providing direct patient care before, during, and after diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology procedures Our department provides care for adult, geriatric and pediatric populations.
Outpatient pediatric services are currently limited to MRI sedations and managed by a Pediatric Intensivist and 2 PALS certified Radiology Nurses Adult/ Geriatric Patient ratio 1:2; Pediatric Patient ratio 1:1 Our Care Team consists of Radiologists, Pediatric Intensivists, Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Registered Nurses, Nursing Supervisor, Technologists, Access Coordinators and Unit Manager Self-directed scheduling; Weekend & Holiday Call Rotation 7 am- 7 p.m.

Greater than one year of experience in ICU, Med-Surg, critical care, or emergency department is required One year -or greater- of Radiology experience preferred This role requires a high level of empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Candidates must possess strong critical thinking, clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, high attention to detail, and autonomy ACLS, BLS required; PALS preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required : Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills Verbal and written skills required Demonstrates effective organizational and leadership skills Has knowledge of the age-specific physiological and psychosocial, developmental and spiritual needs of the patients typically served Physical
