Position Details:Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical 8 East, PT, DayAbout the Unit Neurology 8 East cares for patients with conditions such as strokes, seizures, brain tumors, and brain bleeds. Nurses gain valuable experience with complex neuro assessments, safety‑focused care, and close collaboration with neurology providers and therapy teams.
The Neurology RN provides direct patient care using the nursing process while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessments, care coordination, documentation, and delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care consistent with Mercy’s mission and values. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy clinical complexity, teamwork, and continuous skill development.
Required QualificationsGraduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact stateBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association(or within 30 days of hire)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Prior hospital or acute‑care nursing experienceSpecialty certificationsNew graduate nurses are encouraged to apply.
