Registered Nurse (RN) - Spine & Pain, PRN

Position Details:Registered Nurse (RN) - Spine & Pain Management (PRN)Location: Mercy Clinic Southfork 10050 Kennerly Road, Suite 2400 St. Louis, MO 63128 Join Mercy’s Spine & Pain Management team and play a vital role in delivering specialized, patient-centered care. This PRN RN opportunity offers a dynamic clinical environment where you’ll support advanced pain management treatments and make a meaningful impact on patients’ quality of life.

Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepare and assess patients, including pain evaluations, vitals, and medical historyAssist providers with spine and pain management procedures and treatmentsAdminister medications and injections; support IV therapy as neededMonitor patients and respond to changes in conditionCoordinate care, including follow-ups, referrals, and patient educationMaintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standardsSupport a safe, efficient clinic environment and assist with lab/testing as neededQualificationsEducation: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for nursing, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures. Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, principles to develop a self-care program, instruments and common safety practices.

Current valid state license.

Not required.

CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment. Other: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Skill in assisting and performing a variety of medical treatments and procedures. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Must be able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies. Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public. Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills, or the ability to learn these skills, in order to access information and enter clinical data.

Equipment Used: Must be able to operate equipment normally related to the specialty of the clinic.
