What We OfferJoin the Vascular Access Team at Forsyth Medical Center as a Vascular Access Registered Nurse and bring your clinical expertise to a specialized team supporting patients and nursing teams throughout the hospital. In this role, you’ll assess vascular access needs, insert and manage vascular access devices, and serve as a clinical resource for safe, effective vascular access care. Night Shift, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Assess patients to determine appropriate vascular access needsInsert and manage peripheral IVs, midlines, PICC lines, and other vascular access devicesUtilize ultrasound guidance to support safe and effective vascular accessMonitor vascular access devices and assist with troubleshooting complicationsServe as a clinical resource for nursing teams throughout the hospitalCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient carePromote evidence-based vascular access practices, infection prevention, and patient safetyProvide education and guidance related to vascular access device care and management What We're Looking ForEducation:- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.- If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.

In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

One year of acute nursing experience required. Licensure/Certification/Registration: - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required. Why Choose Novant Health?
