You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
Certifications
✓Current healthcare provider CPR certification
✓Position requires local travel and driving
Qualifications
✓2 years recent (within the past five years) RN experience caring for adults with complex medical and/ or behavioral health needs including working with substance use disorders and/ or mental health conditions in community based or street medicine settings.
✓Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
✓This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and off-site locations across San Francisco.
✓Valid California Driver's License
Knowledge of harm reduction principles and trauma-informed care for individuals experiencing homelessness and substance use disorders preferred
Skill in crisis assessment, de-escalation, and stabilization of patients with acute behavioral health needs preferred
Knowledge of community resources and care navigation, including linkage to primary care, behavioral health, and social services preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse and marginalized populations preferred
