Location: Forsyth Medical Center – Winston-Salem, NC Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit OverviewThe Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at Forsyth Medical Center provides compassionate, patient-centered care for adults experiencing acute mental health crises. Our interdisciplinary team cares for patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, substance use disorders, and behavioral health emergencies requiring inpatient stabilization.
Our unit is designed to provide a safe, therapeutic environment focused on recovery, healing, and restoring hope. Patients receive individualized treatment plans developed through collaboration among psychiatrists, nurses, psychiatric technicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. What We're Looking ForEducation:- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.- If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
One year of acute nursing experience required. Licensure/Certification/Registration: - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required. Why Choose Novant Health?
