You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
Certifications
✓Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
✓Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, when applicable.
Education
✓Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care, or a related field.
✓Graduate of a Registered Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
Qualifications
✓Minimum of five years of clinical experience in adult critical or intensive care.
Experience serving as a charge therapist, preceptor, or clinical resource. preferred
Experience mentoring and developing respiratory care practitioners. preferred
Experience leading quality improvement initiatives, committees, or clinical workgroups. preferred
Experience with ECMO, ventricular assist devices (VAD), or extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR). preferred
