✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months.
✓Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months.
✓Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) required within 12 months.
✓National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) required within 6 months.
Specialty certification preferred
Education
✓Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing
✓Two years recent experience as an ED, ICU, or ICU Stepdown RN . Training program with extended orientation could follow for whichever specialty the candidate does not have.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing and preferred
Qualifications
✓This is a float position with the expectation that primary assignments will be in the critical care areas, including ICU, ED, CVU, and PACU.
✓Once orientation completed must be able to care for a broad spectrum of critically ill medical/surgical, neurologic, cardiac, and/or trauma patients.
✓If this is a training position two years of recent experience is required.
✓Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs. (Required)
✓Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and patient/family centered work environment. (Required)
✓Able to support and interpret medical center philosophy, policy and procedures. (Required)
✓Basic computer skills. (Required)
Candidates with experience in more than one of these areas preferred. CDU and PCU experience preferred.
