8 hr., Day shift, Monday-Friday with on-call weekend rotation. The primary role of the Non-Invasive Cardiac Procedures Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide clinical services for patients being treated and/or evaluated for cardiac arrhythmias who are undergoing transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversions, implant/explant of cardiac loop recorders, have cardiac implanted devices, external cardiac monitors and/or are undergoing stress testing.
They provide this service in compliance with the policies, procedures and protocols of UnityPoint Health - Meriter and under the direction of a licensed physician who is a member of the Hospital Medical staff. Hospital and clinic protocols are developed in consultation and with the guidance of a general cardiologist, as well as a cardiologist who has received training in Electrophysiology. Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Will consider other nursing degrees on an individual basis. License/Certifications: Valid RN license in the state(s) of practice, including eligibility under an NLC multistate license Basic Life Support (BLS)
One-year critical care and/or cardiology experience Other: Core knowledge of clinical cardiology/electrophysiology Basic rhythm interpretation skills Basic computer skills Excellent interpersonal skills Alaris pump experience Advanced rhythm interpretation Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position EEO/M/F/D/V
