As an Emergency Department RN, you'll care for a diverse patient population and play a critical role in making life-saving decisions when every second counts.
As a member of our Emergency Services team, you will: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care. Provide expert nursing care for patients with a wide range of emergency and acute care needs. Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions in the electronic health record.
Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary care teams. Delegate and coordinate care appropriately among support staff and team members. Promote a patient- and family-centered care experience.
Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and infection prevention initiatives. Pursue ongoing professional development to maintain clinical excellence. Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire Minimum of one year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience Ability to independently manage: Cardiac patients Complex medical-surgical patients Pediatric emergencies Multiple trauma cases Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Prior experience as a Registered Nurse beyond the minimum requirements Emergency Department Certifications The following certifications are required within the specified timeframes: ACLS within 6 months of hire PALS within 6 months of hire NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification within 6 months of hire TNCC within 12 months of hire What Makes You Successful You are a compassionate, confident clinician who can think critically under pressure and build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
