Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, has been named “Best Place to Have a Baby” and Maternal Level IV designated facility· Work hours: Part-Time Rotating shifts (both 6:45PM-7:15AM and 6:45AM-7:15PM) for 24 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements Maternal/Newborn, Couplet Care Department highlights:· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth· Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team· 27-bed Maternal/Newborn unit· Average between 275 to 300 deliveries per month· Utilize the following skills: Breastfeeding education/resources, responsible for both mom and baby (Couplet Care)Here’s What You Need· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required· BSN is preferred· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required· One-year experience as a Registered nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required.

Breastfeeding education/resources, responsible for both mom and baby (Couplet Care)Here’s What You Need· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required· BSN is preferred· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required· One-year experience as a Registered nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required.· One year or more of Mother/Baby, Couplet Care RN experience strongly preferred· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required· NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required· Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· Assesses the patient· Plans the care of the patient· Intervenes as appropriate· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
