You’ll need
Licensure
✓Upon hire: Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License.
Certifications
✓Minimum of 2 years (> 4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification - OR - 3 years (> 6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if technician does not have PTCB certification.
Advanced PTCB certificate (e.g., compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history certificate, controlled substances). preferred
Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state. preferred
Education
✓H.S. Diploma or GED
Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program. preferred
Qualifications
✓Upon hire: Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee or
✓Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)

About the role
The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).
