Stroke Coordinator | Central Florida Health Neuro Services | Day | Full-Time

The Stroke-Neurovascular Coordinator is accountable for the overall coordination of UFHCF Stroke activities to obtain and maintain certification in the program. The Coordinator facilitates the clinical care of program related patients to assure that all patients receive comprehensive and timely treatment/interventions that are consistent with defined clinical practice guidelines. This position collaborates with members of the healthcare team to assist in the planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluation of care delivery for the patient populations.

The Coordinator is responsible for abstracting and maintaining the reporting requirements for the site program. The Coordinator provides formal and information education to team members and the community and acts as a resource for team members, medical staff and the community; including working with local EMS to assure optimal continuity of care. The Coordinator collaborates with nursing and medical staff leadership and the Education Department to facilitate appropriate research projects.

Participates in hospital teams and committees; presents lectures, inservices and conferences and maintains/improves current knowledge and competency in specialty area. Performs other duties as assigned. Reports to the Administrative Director of Nursing/CCO.

QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree PreferredLicensure/Certification/Registration: Florida Registered Nurse License Required Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
