and PurposeThe Supply Chain (SC) Technician II position is responsible for maintaining inventory and distribution of goods throughout the facility. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, maintaining accurate inventory levels utilizing the inventory management system, requisitioning of orders, receiving and distribution of goods, coordinating product conversions and recalls. The position will also be responsible for coordinating special requests and/or vendor returns for departments as needed and providing superior customer service.

This position acts as a supply liaison for their assigned department handling all the area’s supply needs.

  • 1. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels using the inventory management system to generate orders/requisitions to include stock, nonstock and non-file items as needed. 2. Performs cycle counts. 3. Responsible for inspection and receipt of incoming goods as needed, documenting, and resolving discrepancies when noted. 4. Receives and distributes medical supplies and equipment to areas throughout the hospital to support quality patient care. 5. Monitors and maintains par levels for specific products to assure that appropriate levels are established in order not to affect patient care.6. Removes outdated supplies and adjusts inventory as needed, working with departments and supply chain supervisor to reduce and/or eliminate slow-moving inventory.7. Responsible for processing credits to inventory and issuing of materials from the inventory management system.8. Coordinating vendor returns from departments.9. Assists with product recalls and coordinates the completion of product returns, if applicable.10. Requires basic knowledge of 3rd party systems utilized.11. Responsible for labeling bins and updating par levels.12. Maintains clean and orderly stock locations.13. Acts as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed.14. Responsible for working with procurement to resolve invoice exceptions.15. Maintains various carts used for patient care. 16. Point of contact for questions related to ordering and shipments.17. Assists assigned department(s) with bringing in new needed supplies. 18. Assists in other duties as assigned. Other Functions:
