Licensure
✓Current, unrestricted physician license from the State of Texas (Texas Medical Board) (required).
✓Board certification in a pediatric or relevant specialty (ABMS or AOA recognized) (required)
✓DEA registration (if applicable).
Certifications
✓BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association/American Red Cross required, must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from date of hire
✓Maintenance of certification as required by specialty board.
✓Must maintain current certification in good standing during employment with this facility.
o Subspecialty certification relevant to complex care (e.g., pediatric hospital medicine, PM&R, pulmonology, neurology) preferred
o Certification in healthcare quality (e.g., CPHQ) or medical management (e.g., CMQ) preferred
Education
✓Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
Qualifications
✓Minimum 7 years of progressive clinical experience in:
✓o Pediatric, rehabilitation, complex medical, or neurodevelopmental care
✓Minimum 3 years of physician leadership experience (Medical Director, Service Line Leader, or equivalent).
