Ultrasound Technologists are responsible for the performance of general X-ray procedures in addition to general Ultrasound and Vascular procedures in the clinic environment. Department: X-Ray ClinicHours: Full-Time, 40 hours a week requiredLocation: Tuscola, ILRequired: AS Degree, Ultrasound Vascular, ARRT(R) withing in 1 year of hire, IEMA, BLSPay; Based on experience, starting at$33.73 an hour$10,000 Sign on BonusResponsibilitiesMaintains supplies in assigned area., Obtains patient history and diagnosis to assist in radiologist in interpretation., Orders, acknowledges, and charges for exams., Performs all general radiology studies., Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams including abdominal, obstetrics, gynecologic, breast, small parts, and vascular., Performs office duties such as answering the phone, scheduling patients, cleaning exam rooms, and other duties as requested., Performs phlebotomy as needed., Prepares documentation for billing and interpretation in an accurate and timely fashion in accordance to established policies and procedures., Prepares patients and equipment for examination., Sends images to PACS in accordance with established procedures., Utilizes ALARA radiation principles., Utilizes proper safety precautions as documented in department and hospital policies.
