The ideal candidate will have at least 18 months of Medical Assistant experience, strong multitasking and organizational skills, and preferably EPIC experience.This is a Temp-to
Hire position. Candidates must be interested and willing to convert to a permanent Penn Medicine staff position.Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories. Assist physicians with procedures and diagnostic testing. Collect and process patient specimens. Perform EKGs and injections as required. Assist with patient mobility and transportation. Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies. Follow sterilization, infection control, safety, and regulatory standards. Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members. Support efficient patient flow and provide excellent patient/family service. Assist with pre-certifications as needed. Train new staff or interns when assigned. Participate in workflow improvement initiatives.Requirements 18 months of Medical Assistant experience required. EPIC experience highly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
