The selected candidate must be interested in converting to a full-time Penn Medicine employee following successful completion of the contract.
Candidates with EPIC experience are strongly preferred. Schedule Monday–Friday One late shift each week: 11:45 AM – 8:15 PM Remaining shifts: 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM, or 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM Schedules are provided approximately 2 weeks in advanceKey Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for provider visits. Obtain and document patient information and vital signs.
Assist with patient flow and clinical office operations. Answer and respond to patient phone calls. Schedule and book patient appointments.
Assist with coordinating patient care and follow-up appointments. Perform general clinical and administrative duties as assigned. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR).
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. Maintain patient privacy and follow HIPAA and organizational policies. Support the practice with additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required /
Previous experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Strong patient-care and communication skills. Experience working in an outpatient or primary-care setting preferred.
EPIC EMR experience is a strong plus. Ability to work Monday–Friday and accommodate one weekly late shift. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy clinical environment.
Must be interested in converting to a full-time Penn Medicine CMA position after the temporary assignment. Training 5-hour EPIC training: Friday, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, including a break. Additional 15-minute HIPAA training module during onboarding.
