Rotating, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 23, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a combined Med Surg/OB position requiring a SD or compact RN license and recent OB and Med Surg experience. Details Acute care setting covering both Med Surg and OB units 25-bed unit with Med Surg nurse-to-patient ratios typically 3-4:1 depending on census and acuity Day/Night rotating 12-hour shifts, 36-48 hours per week Every other weekend and holiday required 3 call shifts required during the 13-week contract Floating required between OB and Med Surg units Uses EPIC EMR, Sanford One Chart, and Pyxis medication system Requirements Active SD or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years RN experience required 6 months of Med Surg experience within the past year 6 months of OB experience within the past year Required
BLS, ACLS, NRP TNCC and PALS preferred Must be able to function independently and manage up to 5 patients in the Med Surg unit Additional Information Provide nursing care across both Med Surg and OB units, including general med surg procedures and obstetric care Training includes EPIC computer training, 1 day of OB-specific training, and 1 day of Med Surg training Must badge in and out at the facility Navy blue scrubs required with no logos; white may be worn under uniform or as a lab coat Candidates with prior Sanford Health employment must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission Local candidates may be considered within a defined radius, subject to facility approval
