Nights | Alternate Work Schedule (37.5 hours/week guaranteed)Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Registered Pharmacist (Inpatient / Hospital) for a permanent night-shift direct-hire position with an award-winning acute care hospital in Westchester County, NY. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare teams, you will oversee the delivery of comprehensive pharmaceutical care, verify clinical medication orders against patient profiles, ensure medication safety, and provide operational oversight during night operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview, interpret, and verify inpatient medication orders against clinical profiles for dosage, contraindications, drug-drug interactions, and allergies. Supervise and direct night pharmacy technicians/assistants in compounding, automated dispensing, and distribution workflows. Provide clinical consultations and drug information to physicians and nursing staff during overnight acute care events.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy procedures, USP standards, and state/federal regulatory guidelines. Participate in pharmacy quality improvement, infection control, and patient safety initiatives. Qualifications & RequirementsLicensure: Active, unencumbered Pharmacist license issued by the New York State Board of Pharmacy (required upon hire).
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B. S. Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
D.) from an accredited ACPE program.
Previous acute care / inpatient hospital pharmacy experience is required. Technical
Strong working knowledge of hospital medication delivery systems, automated dispensing units (e.g., Pyxis/Omnicell), and electronic health records. Schedule Flexibility: Dedicated availability to work full-time night shifts on an alternate rotation schedule. Vaccination: Annual Flu vaccination required (mandatory hospital policy).
