- Competitive starting pay of $33.63 per hour, with a structured career ladder offering growth based on experience and professional credentials

- Days or Nights (3) 12-hour shifts
- Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for experienced candidates, along with relocation assistance for eligible candidates

Join our UHS team and make a meaningful impact—enhancing the lives of our patients while advancing your own career and professional growth. #LI-CR1 #IND1 Follow the link to learn more!UHSH Respiratory TherapyJob ResponsibilitiesRespiratory Care & Therapeutic ProceduresDeliver respiratory therapies including aerosol, MDI, incentive spirometry, and oxygen therapy across approved devicesPerform secretion mobilization treatments such as CPT/Flutter, cough assist, and vest therapyConduct airway management procedures including suctioning and extubationExecute therapist-driven protocols, including patient assessments and care adjustmentsPerform arterial puncture and blood gas analysisAdvanced Respiratory SupportManage non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP) and associated alarmsMonitor and manage high-flow nasal cannula and humidified oxygen therapyOversee mechanical ventilation and ventilator alarm systemsDiagnostics & Cardiopulmonary TestingPerform pulmonary function screening, stress testing, and pulse oximetryAssist with bronchoscopy procedures and maintain equipment readinessConduct EKG testing (adult and pediatric) and Holter monitor setupEmergency ResponseProvide CPR and life support for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patientsClinical Systems & Medication ManagementMaintain accurate patient records in Epic Electronic Health Record Systems and document all treatments and resultsManage medication administration processes, including MAR and Pyxis systemsVerify physician orders prior to performing diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresInfection Control & ComplianceClean and disinfect bronchoscopes according to infection control standardsEnsure adherence to departmental policies, safety protocols, and delivery standardsAdministrative & Team SupportMaintain departmental records and documentation in compliance with policyAssist with staff education, in-service programs, and team training initiativesPosition QualificationsMinimum Required:Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory TherapyNew York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or LicenseBLS/CPR Certification upon hire and ACLS within three (3) months of hirePreferred:One (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist Work EnvironmentWork is performed on all patient care units mostly at bedside. Ability to push equipment. Limited access to O2 outlets.
