ResponsibilitiesNorton Healthcare invites you to apply for our Administrative Fellowship Program within System Services. This program is designed for postgraduate students looking to explore meaningful careers in healthcare administration. This two-year program puts you on a path for significant career growth through performance excellence projects, strategic planning and leadership exposure.

This Fellowship exposes the Fellow to the entire Norton Healthcare System, which includes nine hospitals and a comprehensive employed medical group. You must be currently enrolled or have already completed a master’s degree program to be considered for the Fellowship Program. Application deadline is Friday, October 2nd, 2026.

Key Fellowship Attributes:Individualized professional and leadership development driven by completion of a detailed leadership development planCompletion of high-level rotations in areas spanning the Norton Healthcare systemNetworking opportunities to develop professional relationships with senior leaders in your area of interestDevelop leadership experience by interviewing, organizing, mentoring and leading interns during the Norton Healthcare Summer Internship Program, as well as recruitment for the Norton Healthcare Administrative Fellowship ProgramThe System Services Fellowship track allows for immersion in large-scale, high-impact projects that directly benefit the organization.

Fellows gain exposure to leadership and are directly involved in executive meetings, initiatives and other strategic matters that offer a better understanding of the issues, challenges and opportunities facing a large health care system. Year 1 ExperienceProject work alongside the Performance Excellence Team, with focus on improving clinical outcomes and quality measuresOpportunities to develop interpersonal, basic operational and leadership development skills with rotating through select clinical and business support departments across the systemTraining in Norton Healthcare's problem solving methodology (DMAIC: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) and leading a strategic project as part of this training from concept to ControlYear 2 ExperienceContinued development of advanced leadership skills with longer rotations through both inpatient and outpatient settings with operational oversight in those areasTwo large-scale projects selected by the members of Norton Healthcare’s leadership teamMentorship from their assigned executive mentor as well as other key leaders in the system Norton Healthcare is a leader in serving adult and pediatric patients from throughout Greater Louisville, Southern Indiana, The Commonwealth of Kentucky, and beyond.
