Status: Non-ExemptA Brief OverviewThe Dietitian Support Associate is responsible for working under the supervision of a licensed Dietitian and may conduct nutrition screening, calculating intake records, providing basic patient education, and serving as a liaison between Patient Services and Clinical Nutrition within the department. All work must be reviewed and countersigned by supervising licensed Dietitian with daily supervision and case reviews required.
Education QualificationsBachelor's Degree Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field RequiredMaster's Degree Currently enrolled in Master’s program or recently graduated, not to exceed 6 months post graduation. Experience QualificationsCompleted or currently completing accredited dietetic internship program RequiredIf post Master’s degree must show documentation of preparation of CDR examination. RequiredSkills and AbilitiesAbility to counsel and educate others.
Ability to understand and interpret the objectives of the nutrition intervention programAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to patients and families.
