Treat patients referred for Physical Therapy services. Works as an effective Team member that contributes work efforts towards the improvement of quality patient care. Major Job FunctionsThe following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job.

The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:Recognize, select and utilize effective methods of verbal and non-verbal interactions based on the age of the patientDevelop and modify goals and treatment plans in collaboration with the physical therapistDeliver various therapeutic interventions accurately and effectivelyDelegate and monitor aspects of care to appropriate PT personnelCoordinate the delivery of physical therapy servicesDocument services delivered clearly, concisely, and accuratelyActively participate in the education of self, patient and othersAccurately record and submit patient related charges for patient billing and departmental productivityEfficiently utilize resources of human, equipment and suppliesAuthorized to have access to medications within their scope of practiceCross train in other settings to provide coverage as neededOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education and Formal Training: Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an CAPTE accredited academic institution requiredCurrent North Carolina license to practice physical therapy requiredBLS certification requiredWork
