Treats patients referred for Physical Therapy services. Works as an effective Team member that contributes work efforts towards the improvement of quality patient care. Major Job FunctionsThe following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job.

The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:Recognizes, selects, and utilizes effective methods of verbal and non-verbal interactions based on the age of the patientDevelops and modifies goals and treatment plans in collaboration with the physical therapistDelivers various therapeutic interventions accurately and effectivelyDelegates and monitors aspects of care to appropriate PT personnelCoordinates the delivery of physical therapy servicesDocuments services delivered clearly, concisely, and accuratelyAccurately records and submits patient related charges for patient billing and departmental productivityEfficiently utilizes resources of human, equipment and suppliesAuthorized to have access to medications within their scope of practiceServes as an administrative and clinical resource to all inter and intra-departmental personnelServes as a Clinical Instructor for physical therapy assistant studentsOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education and Formal Training: Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an APTA accredited academic institutionCurrent North Carolina license to practice physical therapyWork

2 years of experience as a PTA requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English languageAbility to effectively apply knowledge and skills learnedEffective problem solving skillsStrong interpersonal skills which requires the ability to quickly assess situations and appropriately respond in a timely mannerAbility to understand roles as defined and work within a Team-oriented environmentPhysical
