Diploma in Nursing or
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required or
BSN preferred
Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
2 years of NICU experience preferred
RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required
NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days and maintained annually requiredWhat You Will Do
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
