  • 45 bed Level IV NICU caring for babies as early as 22 weeks gestation

  • Diploma in Nursing or
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required or
  • BSN preferred
  • Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 2 years of NICU experience preferred
  • RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required
  • NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days and maintained annually requiredWhat You Will Do
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.Since 1991, Texas Health Plano has served the communities of Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson, and McKinney.
