Registered Nurse (RN) NICUBring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + TogetherWork location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231Work hours: PRN, 7:00am – 7:00pm; 6 shifts per 6 week schedule requiredNICU Department highlights:· Fast-paced Level III NICU· Provides care for 22+ weeks· Cooling, High Frequency Ventilator· Supportive leadership supporting opportunities for certification in High-Risk Neonatal NursingHere’s What You Need· Diploma in Nursing required or· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program· BSN preferred· One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.· One year of NICU experience strongly preferred· RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and· NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and· NRPA – Advance Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and· CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training required within 90 days and maintained annuallyWhat You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· Assesses the patient· Plans the care of the patient· Intervenes as appropriate· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
