Denton’s only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)16-bed NICU with all private rooms23-week gestation on up – working with preemies and multiples24-bed Postpartum/Newborn, Couplet careThe deliveries average between 200-225 deliveries per month. NicView web camerasHere’s What You NeedAssociate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferredRN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire requiredBCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterlyNRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire1 year experience as a registered nurseAt least 1 year of NICU experience preferredWhat You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing ProcessAssesses the patientPlans the care of the patientIntervenes as appropriateEvaluates the effectiveness of interventionsIncorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
