The Registered Nurse:Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.Delivers excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Unit Information: The Transitional Subacute Unit is a 50-bed unit that provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for residents who are medically stable but require continued skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and clinical monitoring following acute hospitalization.
