United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our Retail Pharmacy team. As a Retail Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the preparation and dispensing of medications, maintain inventory, and provide excellent customer service. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their pharmacy career and looking to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting.

Functions as a generalist, providing support and ensures an ongoing and efficient pharmacy department by assisting in the processing of medications or prescriptions to all patients and appropriate patient care areas Assists in the maintenance of a neat and clean dispensing area and performing functions as necessary in the daily routine of the pharmacy departmentAssist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription medicationsEnter patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system accuratelyLabel and package medications under pharmacist supervisionEnsure compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulationsMaintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment ​Position QualificationsMinimum Required:High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred:Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or successful completion of a pharmacy technician training program Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions; e.g., exposure to contagious diseases.

Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, gowns, gloves, or shields. Employee can be scheduled at any outpatient pharmacy site within a limited geographic region. Physical Demands – walking, standing, lifting (up to 30lbs), carrying, pushing, and reading.
